Occasionally, when I landed a non-winning spin a random low-value symbol was chosen and all instances of it were cloned and shifted to positions adjacent to each other, guaranteeing me a winning cluster.

Clovers

A clover icon was attached to all instances of a random symbol on every spin and when these symbols were part of a winning cluster, they would leave a wild symbol behind after they disappeared.

Feature Meter

When I landed winning clusters, the symbols involved were collected in a horseshoe meter to the left of the reels. Collecting symbols activated 4 special modifiers as I progressed.

The Pots ‘o gold modifier was triggered after I collected 21 symbols and it added wild symbols to random positions on the reels, generating a rainbow around them and removing all the symbols in the rainbow area.

The Rainbow Road modifier activated once I had 42 symbols, generating a rainbow streak across a random row and column. The symbols on the rainbow were removed and new symbols fell into place. A wild pot symbol appeared where the rainbows intersected and up to 4 additional wilds were added to the reels.

After collecting 63 symbols, the Lucky Coin modifier added random wilds to the reels and once I got to 84 symbols, the Shamrock Shake modifier took 4 symbol types off the reels, causing new ones to appear and sometimes awarding me a 2x or 3x multiplier.

Trail ‘o Fortune

I needed 3 scatters to land to trigger the bonus round where a jackpot wheel appeared and awarded me between 10 and 30 free spins with a 2x or 3x multiplier. I had to land another 3 scatters while the feature was active to retrigger it with the same number of starting spins.

Lucky Leprechaun Clusters blends the old and the new to create an adequately entertaining and potentially highly rewarding experience. Playing this slot left me in two minds. On the one hand, I felt like the graphics were dated and the gameplay was fairly typical, but I also appreciated the charm of a revived classic and got plenty of exciting wins along the way.

The modifiers in particular presented an array of Immersive ways to win and finally arriving at the Trail ‘o Fortune put me on the path to the game’s maximum prize of $230 000. As someone who isn’t that much of a fan of the Leprechaun genre, I don’t see myself spending much time with this title, but its appeal is obvious.
