Alberta To Get New Casino
While the USA may have raced ahead of Canada in legalized-sports betting, all is not over! Century Casinos Inc which owns Alberta’s Century Mile Racetrack has announced it will open a brand new casino. It will also have an integrated sports bar along with a remote betting lounge.
However, what the locals are looking forward to is the commencement of the thoroughbred horse racing season. This will begin by the last week of April. The grand gala opening will take place on April 27th.
The venue is the latest development of Century Casinos Inc and it is situated on the land owned by Edmonton International Airport. The location, in fact, is very strategic. It is close to the highway and airport. It is also adjacent to exclusive golf courses, hotels, and top shopping zones.
Of course, this development comes at a price. As per the updates, the company may have invested close to $47 million on it. However, the potential of the property justifies the steep price tag. It will benefit both the company and the region.
The development is really larger than life. The venue’s first floor has the casino with 38 stadium-style games, 550 slot machines, horse race betting area, 14 video Lottery stations, relaxing lounge, bar and a restaurant-style eatery.
The second floor is the prime attraction of the property and it will have both outside and inside grandstand viewing areas. The third floor has the vantage point from where one can gaze at the racetrack. There will be adequate parking spots, spaces for accommodating the horses, and horsemen. In short, there will be no shortage of amenities and luxuries.
