Betway Turns The First UK-Based Bookmaker Investing In Esports Team
Betway has made a good sponsorship deal with the entity Ninjas in Pyjamas and it has now become the first ever bookmaker in the UK to invest in eSports. This agreement covers content usage rights, on-shirt branding as well as on-site branding and player access.
Betway will now produce important behind-the-scenes content and people like Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, Richard "Xizt" Landström, Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund, Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi and Adam "friberg" Friberg in gaming house. Interviews with Björn "threat" Pers, the team coach and merchandise competitions will also be included.
NiP, which is an eSports organization based in Sweden, has been operational since 2000 and has won several majors. Betway earlier launched one eSports microsite and is among top traditional bookmakers to go for eSports in recent times. It has increased eSports-specific trading as well.
Anthony Werkman of Betway said the deal with Nip is a positive one for the entity. The track record of NiP as an eSports entity is a bright one worldwide. He added Betway is focusing on eSports offering in recent times and the activities bear testimony to that.
He also said Betway always strives to offer premium service and ties up with entities having the same values and ideals. The aim is to give maximum satisfaction to the fans. As a West Ham United sponsor, Betway engages with its supporters to give them insight they will not get elsewhere.
