Floyd Mayweather Wins A Fortune At Las Vegas Casino
Floyd Mayweather is in the news again, and this time round for a big win at a poker machine in a Las Vegas casino. The undefeated boxing champion and icon took to social media platforms such as Instagram to share the news of his big win, which comes up to a whopping $100,000.
While this win may not be a great pocket changer to the already billionaire and celebrity boxer, it does show that his lucky streak shows no sign of ending!
Double poker win for Mayweather
According to Mayweather, he scooped a $70,000, earlier that day before he hit the jackpot of $105,000. He posted an image of his poker screen and winning tickets on Instagram. His double win takes his total earnings to an impressive $175,000.
A post that was updated a while later, showed the famous boxer sitting with a case brimming with cash- with a caption “Headed to @GirlCollection” – Mayweather’s own gentleman’s club on the Las Vegas strip. It is not new for Mayweather to be flaunting his many assets on social media.
The athlete is said to have a net worth of a billion dollars thanks to his record breaking win and earnings from his recent box-office fight against his boxing opponent Conor McGregor.
The boxer is believed to have earned around $300 million from his fight with UFC champion Conor McGregor last month. It is said that American audience paid around $96 each to see the fight on TV.
However, according to reliable sources, gate receipts fell a tad bit short of his record breaking Pacquaiao bout, with only $55.4 million reported in sales.
Las Vegas’s betting firms and bookmakers made it big when Mayweather made this legendary victory, after a whopping 80% of all money was bet on his opponent to win.
This huge gamble paid off for the operators who are sure to have suffered huge losses had the underdog managed to win.
