Gateway Unveils Plans For A New Casino In Ontario
Gateway Casinos and Entertainment a Canada based gambling operator announced it is going to set up a new casino in Ontario. The construction for this Cascades-branded casino branch is going to begin soon. The company is now waiting for the required government approvals.
The upcoming casino will be set up on Richmond Street- at the spot where the earlier Wheel Inn was located. Once the land acquisition process gets completed, the Construction work will begin. It may require a few weeks.
Once approved, this new casino will operate under the Cascades brand and it will have table games and slot machines. Gateway Casinos and Entertainment will release details about this project soon. It is natural that food and beverage sections will be set up as part of the new casino. So, the local community will be interested in possible employment opportunities. Randy Hope, the Chatham Mayor offered support for the new casino.
The municipality has got hosting fees worth CA$700,000 for 2016-2017 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming. So, the new Cascades casino operating, municipal budget will get enriched by revenue influx. Gateway Casinos Ontario’s director of communications Rob Mitchell said the casino amenities will include restaurants, parking lot and gaming floor.
Gateway Casinos and Entertainment is on an expansion spree as it is. It’s Starlight Casino Point Edward has been renovated by spending CA$26 million. The Hanover site expansion may also take place. The Dresden facility of the company will operate till 2020 so this is likely to be a new offering altogether.
