The Great Canadian Gaming Corporation seems to be having a bad time with one controversy after another. The year 2018 seems to be very volatile for the GCGC and the controversies don't seem to end. This week a fresh uproar was created after GCGC employees were found involved in illegal gambling. The Canadian gambling world has been embroiled in various controversies throughout the year and this latest one just adds to the list.

When it comes to gambling in Canada, British Columbia is where all the action takes place. But, besides the successes, the province also has several challenges to take care of. One of them is increase in criminal activity within the gambling sector. This isn't the first time that such news has come about. In the past that have been several attention-grabbing stories about the illegal gambling problem in BC.

A few months ago, there was a sensational story regarding the money laundering in British Columbia casinos. The story caused such a furor across the province that Senator Larry Campbell was accused and pressure to resign.

The problem with British Columbia casinos is widespread, with some or the other news every week. In the latest news two female employees of River Rock Casino were found involved in illegal gambling. The employees were caught red handed during a raid at an illegal gambling facility. Although no charges have been pressed against the two employees, it goes without saying that the GCGC is far from pleased. The news broke after the BC Gaming Enforcement Branch was informed about the raid.

The river Rock Casino has distanced itself from the mistakes of its employees and said that the casino does not endorse any kind of illegal activity by their staff. They have also claimed that they were not aware about the involvement of their employees in illegal gambling. This isn't the first time that the casino has been in the face of a controversy. A few months ago, river Rock Casino was in the news for a sexual harassment case that took place in the facility. The case is still under investigation.

All of these have affected the GCGC's reputation. Regardless of whether the corporation was aware of the illegal gambling activities they need to do something quick to fix their tarnished reputation.
