The appearance of more shields or the other special symbols reset my spin count back to its original count of 3 or 4. Speaking of the special symbols, they included the game’s regular high-value selection along with a few extras.

Each of the Wooden shields was worth 1x-9x my bet and the Golden shields were valued at 10x-50x.  Thor held values of 1x to9x and would also expand the reel set by one row down up to a maximum of 2 extra rows.

Freya and Odin appeared with multiplier values that boosted the other symbols that landed on the same spin as well as any symbols from future spins. The raven sentinels, Hugin & Munin had multiplier values that were applied to all other symbols once.

The guardian wolf of the underworld, Garmr, landed with a multiplier value and collected the values of all symbols in view once. The ruler of Niflheim, Hel, has the same effect as Garmr but collects the value of all other symbols for all the spins that come after as well.

At random, blue lightning bolts could appear in vacant positions, which would add a non-shield special symbol to the space. When I filled the entire grid with symbols I claimed an extra prize of 500x my bet, but if I ran out of spins before achieving this, I was simply awarded the combined value of the symbols in view.

I was pleasantly surprised by Masters of Valhalla slot’s combination of immersive visuals and potential-packed gameplay.
