If you’ve played FU88 or Pachinko by Neko Games, you will be familiar with the bingo/slot hybrid gameplay. For the uninitiated, the rules are quite simple. I could choose to play 1-4 bingo tickets simultaneously, with my bet being multiplied by my number of active tickets. Each ticket displayed a win indicator and the paytable hovered above the game board, displaying the 19 possible winning patterns I could land.

Clicking the spin button caused thirty balls to be released from the selector at the bottom of the screen and I had to complete any of the patterns to claim a prize. After the balls were drawn, I was given the chance to fill in incomplete patterns with the extra ball stage if any of my enabled tickets only needed one more number for a winning pattern. Golden Pyramid Bonus

I got to the game’s main bonus feature by landing the Bonus 1 pattern. I was presented with a 6-level pyramid where the conquistador stepped forward to ascend on my behalf. Each level held 3 doors and 2 of the doors held prizes, while one would release a flock of bats.

To begin I chose a door and if it held a prize, the cheery Spaniard would climb to the next level. If the door revealed bats he would stumble and a collect message appeared if he fell over, paying me out the prizes I had accumulated if any. If he managed to stay upright, I was allowed to move up to the next level. The prize values increased with each subsequent tier with the maximum prize at the top paying out 2075x my bet.

Golden Masks

The other picker mini-game in this title activated when I landed the Bonus 3 pattern. This time, I had 8 golden masks to choose from with each one revealing either a prize or a collect symbol that would bring the round to an end and credit me with my accumulated winnings. The maximum I could win from a single mask was 1400x my bet.

El Dorado jackpots

I had to have all four tickets activated to be eligible for the fixed jackpot prizes. As I played, some balls had golden coins attached to them that were collected in a jackpot indicator above the tickets. The jackpots paid out as I gathered the coins with 6, 7, 8, or 9 of them awarding me the bronze, silver, emerald, or El Dorado jackpots worth 150x, 250x, 100z, and 5000x my stake, respectively.

1524 Golden Quest slot has an undeniably compelling fun factor as I did more than just sit back and spin as I went for the top prize. This is an entertaining title for several reasons. The theme is vibrant and enjoyable to look at with some nice touches like the conquistador who gestures and waves when you click on him.

This interactivity continues with the features where I was constantly offered choices that tested my luck. What tested my patience was the relative difficulty of triggering the bonus features, with the exception of the fixed jackpots that seemed eager to pay out regularly, but the game’s $200 000 top prize was held within the Golden Pyramid feature which took some trying to access. I was impressed with how Neko Games have managed to diversify this game concept and look forward to their next effort.
