2016 EGR Awards Ceremony Attracts The Industry’s Best
The 2016 eGaming Review Magazine’s award ceremony was recently held in London in Artillery Garden. There were 650 who’s who from the online gaming industry attending this prestigious event.
The coveted Operator of the Year award was won by Unibet. The CEO of Unibet, Henrik Tjärnstrom, was ecstatic to win the award and did not try to hide his delight. However, Unibet won two other awards during the event. It won the award for Socially Responsible Operator and for the Best Marketing Campaign of the Year.
It was truly a crowning moment for Unibet. Winning three awards at this prestigious event is no mean task. The Unibet executives were very magnanimous and have credit to the different departments and individuals whose hard work finally paid off.
The marketing videos entitled Luck is no Coincidence by Unibet garnered over 30 million views. This success was ratified after Unibet won the 2016 EGR Best Marketing Campaign of the Year award.
There is no doubt that online casinos compete fiercely with one another, and as a result, some companies are more than willing to step out of their comfort zone and experimenting with new ideas and concepts to attract more players. One such online gaming company is NetEnt. Its Guns ‘N Roses slot was the recipient of the Game of the Year award, beating 12 other games in the bargain.
This is the second consecutive year the NetEnt has won this award. In 2015, it took home the award for Spinata Grande slot.
The Dublin-based online gaming company BetBright also was one of the lucky winners at the 2016 EGR Awards. It received the In-House Product of the Year award, a truly remarkable achievement for a company that was founded in 2012.
In the eSports category, Pinnacle was won the 2016 EGR eSports Operator of the Year award. The online sports betting company has been in business since 2010, a time when there was hardly a market for online sports betting.
