Evolution Gaming Sees Accelerated Growth
2017 has been a phenomenal year for live dealer casino specialists, Evolution Gaming. Due to expanding their existing product range, as well as developing and incorporating new products, the company has managed to almost double its profits. Revenue of £50.7m was generated during the last three months of 2017, resulting in a significant increase of 48% from the year before.
According to CEO, Martin Carlesund, the major contributor to the group’s success was the expansion of existing Riga and Bucharest live casino studios. In partnership with British Columbia Lottery Corporation’s PlayNow.com, 2017 also saw the development of the very first Evolution Gaming studio outside Europe’s borders which went live a couple of weeks ago in British Columbia.
Carlesund indicated that in 2018 their focus will shift to investing in new product development, of which the cost will undoubtedly affect future revenue figures. New products in the works include a live casino version of Texas Hold’em Bonus (a world first), as well as new variants of Baccarat.
Looking further ahead, Evolution Gaming are in the beginning stages of developing a “First-Person” casino table games product from which they expect a significant portion of revenue income alone.
Future initiatives also include the launch of Salon Privé, whereby high-rollers will have access to exclusive VIP tables which they can structure and design around their own specific gambling requirements.
Despite the additional costs, Carlesund have given investors the assurance of continued revenue growth for Evolution Gaming in 2018, and with all the exciting developments in the pipeline, success certainly seems inevitable.
