When a group of Brazilian friends started playing roulette at Conrad Punta del Este Resort and Casino Hotel in Uruguay as a part of their extended Christmas and New Year celebration, little did they expect that they were going to turn millionaires. Pedro Grendene Bartelle a probable heir to a successful family owned footwear business and a businessman in his own right, is believed to have won a whopping $35,000. He placed his bet on number 32 and his friends played on numbers close to this bet.
To their amazement, when the wheel was spun, the ball landed in number-32 slot and Bartelle won $1.225 million with a bet of just $35,000. This phenomenal event was recorded on video and soon became viral on YouTube. The video also shows the friends celebrating and jumping in joy; while amused spectators have unique responses through expressions and body languages.Located in the southernmost peninsular tip of Uruguay, Conrad Resort and Casino is an extravagant vacation retreat that oozes luxury and élan.
