MGM Announces Revamped Rewards Programme
MGM Resorts has great news for its patrons with the announcement of its newly revamped loyalty rewards program which will launch on February 1.
In an official release, the company advised that the “reimagined” program will sport a new name, MGM Rewards, with previously unseen offers that give you the chance to earn on your gaming and non-gaming spend at over 20 venues across the US. The refreshed program will also include enhanced guest benefits.
One of the biggest changes is that non-gaming customers can now earn MGM Rewards Points, alongside gaming customers. These points are redeemable for a variety of benefits, including complimentary food and drinks, entertainment, and hotel rooms.
The points can be earned “on nearly all expenditures” at MGM destinations and you can score additional Slot Dollars by playing slots. Despite the flurry of new changes, the company has opted to keep its tiered rewards system so you can still ascend through Sapphire, Pearl, Gold, Platinum, and NOIR to reap increasingly lucrative rewards.
MGM Rewards also includes new marquee benefits such as waived resort fees for Gold members and above, tier achievement travel credit to Las Vegas for Platinum and above. If you find yourself in the Pearl tier or anywhere above, you can enjoy complimentary tickets to MGM Rewards concerts and Slot Dollars that don’t expire, while Platinum-tiered patrons will be awarded suite upgrades for up to three nights and 4 p.m. late check-out where available.
The perks don’t stop there as if you are in the Gold tier or above, you will be invited to exclusive tier appreciation events and experiences.
Customer-Focused
Anil Mansukhani, the Vice President of Loyalty Marketing at MGM Resorts said,
“As every guest experiences our properties in unique ways, MGM Rewards is designed to recognize and reward every member with experiences uniquely suited to their preferences, whether that’s attending an incredible concert, enjoying a world-class meal or staying in a luxury suite.”
Mansukhani added that the new MGM Rewards program was formulated based on customer feedback and offers “more ways to earn, more ways to redeem, and more exclusive benefits.”
Over and above the perks described above, other additions to the programme include new tier advancement celebration dinners and exclusive tier appreciation events. You will get your invite to these when you advance to the Gold tier or above, based on your 2022 spend.
The new rewards program launch will be accompanied by an extended earning window whereby tier credits earned from January 1-31 will be counted for both 2022 and 2023’s tier Status earnings.
System Upgrade
The company explained that the new MGM Rewards app “simplifies the digital experience” by giving members easier access to their tier status and benefits, as well as guiding them on how to best move up to the next tier. The app also integrates play and spend into a single account.
MGM Resorts additionally announced a more efficient integration between its rewards program and the company’s iGaming brand, BetMGM. This gives more benefits to MGM Rewards members as they can earn digital for BetMGM online play.
The new program is supported by partner brands like Hyatt Hotels, Southwest Airlines and Avis Rental Cars, with the company advising that more brands would come on board in the future.
