MGM Resorts Voted As The Best US Employer
The recent report unveiled by the Forbes magazine shows MGM Resorts International, a casino giant is among the top employers in the USA. It conducted a survey in partnership with Statista- research specialist firm. As per the results of this survey, 50,000 employees in 25 separate industries were queried independently. MGM got a rank of 18 out of the 500 companies in the survey.
Apart from that, the MGM group also scored well in gaming and entertainment scene and left behind rivals like Marriott International, the coveted Hilton Hotels group and Four Seasons Hotels.
In this survey, no employers were actually involved. The Employees were scouted online in an anonymous way. The employers had nothing to do with employee participation selection. The employees were asked to rate their employers frankly on a scale between 1 and 10. They were queried on various employment related aspects such as working conditions, potential for growth, salaries etc.
The participants were not asked to reveal personal details. The outcome of this survey echoed findings of a previous study done by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. MGM was nominated as a top LGBTQ rights champion and equal rights employer.
Phyllis James, who serves as the Chief Diversity and Corporate Responsibility Officer of MGM, the results did not surprise the entity. The casino group considers the employees as assets. It focuses on serving the customers in the best way and that cannot be possible without giving importance to the employees. MGM’s overall success is proved by the guest experience and employees play a big role behind that.
