Indiana Sports Betting
September 1 has been marked by the regulators of Indiana to launch sports betting. To hasten the process, emergency regulations were issued by the state. May 2019 will see Indiana sports betting go legal.
The rate of tax for sports betting has been set at 9.5% after gross adjustment. Problem gamblers will be beneficiary, as part of it will go towards treatment. A renewal fee of US$ 50 along with an initial fee of US$ 100,000 will have to be paid by vendors. A player needs to be 21 years or older to register with local casinos and be able to bet at mobile or casinos.
As per Indiana Governor, Eric Holcomb “This recent legislation, having more up to date laws, will encourage constructive monetary growth, both for a business that employs more than 11k Hoosiers and for the state. It will also help further the revenue and generate thousands of permanent jobs as well as fresh jobs in construction.”
