Two New Casinos Being Brought To North California By Big Brands
Northern California is to experience major gambling expansion as two leading brands will launch properties in the area.
It is interesting to see that Harrah’s Northern California is expecting to bring visitors later in April, while Hard Rock Sacramento at Fire Mountain will welcome its first visitors this fall season.
The opening of Harrah’s Northern California can be attributed to the collaboration between Buena Vista Rancheria Me-Wuk Tribe and Caesars Entertainment Corp, which is the Las Vegas casino giant. The property will open its doors on 29th April at 4.29pm local time. This peculiar opening timing has been chosen by the owners for paying homage to Louie Oliver, who is a tribal ancestor born on that day.
Spanning over an area of 71,000 square feet, Harrah’s Northern California will have 20 gaming tables and 950 slot machines. Casino patrons will benefit from the Caesars’ reward program. Along with the huge gaming floor, there will also be many dining facilities in Harrah’s Northern California, including a restaurant which will be named after Louie Oliver. There is no hotel as part of the property, but it might be included later in the future.
Harrah’s Northern California is located just off Highway 88 in the city of lone, Amador County. As per casino officials it has been known that the property has created more than 400 permanent jobs. Majority of the positions are filled by local people from the region. Slated to open on 29th April, opening celebrations will be hosted by owners in the weekend of May 17th.
Efforts of two-decades have been put into bringing a casino to the Yuba County. This work has been done by the Estom Yumeka Maidu Tribe, who are on the track of bringing and debuting Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain this fall season. It is suggestive from the name that the property is a collaboration between the Hard Rock International, the Florida-based hospitality and gaming powerhouse and the tribe.
Both the parties came together last summer for announcing the development of $440-million casino and hotel complex in South Yuba County. No final opening date is announced, but the announcement is expected in the coming months.
The executive team of the complex will be joined by industry veterans. Mark Birtha, President of Hard Rock, Sacramento said that the main aim is to develop and operate the area in a manner so that it becomes the top-notch entertainment, gaming and hospitality venue in the world.
Some important members of the executive team are as follows:
The new property of Hard Rock, Sacramento will have a casino with slot machines and table games. Along with this, there will be a 170-room hotel, entertainment facilities, food and beverage amenities, swimming pools etc. A grand topping-off ceremony was hosted for the property in February.
It is expected that the property will create 1000 permanent jobs and generate $225 million revenue for the region.
