Country Roads Take NetEnt Home Via West Virginia DraftKings Partnership
With NetEnt’s milestone US expansion through The Cordish Companies across Pennsylvania, the company has set its sights on further growth through a fruitful technical integration with DraftKings which will allow the supplier to provide a selection of its gaming content in West Virginia.
Through an agreement with the West Virginia Lottery Commission, the Swedish developer will establish its first non-proprietary game studio in the freshly regulated market, a move guaranteed to significantly increase its footprint across the nation.
Some of the first slots to go live will be the internationally acclaimed Starburst, Gonzo's Quest, and Blackjack.
NetEnt has diligently engineered its growth in the burgeoning US market by locking down numerous strategic distribution arrangements with key operators. Aside from its major collaboration deal with PlayLive! in mid-October, BetMGM in Virginia, and Tipico in New Jersey, the brand will also make its casino offering available through Gaming Realms, Svenska Spel and Betsafe.
888casino has also joined forces with the NetEnt, integrating Live Blackjack, Blitz Blackjack, and Perfect Blackjack, while Evolution Gaming launched a bid for the acquisition of NetEnt and its full portfolio of products for SEK19.6 billion.
The supplier’s portfolio became available with a prominent online casino platform, Pennsylvania-based Wind Creek in late September.
Brian Kraft, NetEnt’s Vice President of commercial, NetEnt Americas LLC had this to say about the DraftKings and West Virginia Lottery Commission deals:
“We are thrilled to be the first third-party supplier to launch our games in West Virginia. It’s fantastic to have some of our most popular titles from New Jersey and Pennsylvania now live in the West Virginia market for DraftKings’ players to enjoy.”
NetEnt’s expansion through US industry giant, DraftKings holds the promise to expose the supplier to new jurisdictions in the coming months. DraftKings’ players will soon have access to a wide selection of games, thanks to NetEnt's focus on intensified content distribution in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Brian Kraft, VPC Americas stated, “DraftKings’ size and market presence make this launch one of the most significant to date. We’re proud to expand our relationship with such a well-known operator and look forward to continuing the success that we’ve achieved together so far. We are thrilled to have such a renowned operator on board as we enter new jurisdictions.”
NetEnt launched its live casino portfolio to Lithuania via Betsafe in August, giving the country’s players access to customised content from its auto-roulette studio.
Kaido Ulejev, Net commercial director CEECA at Betsafe spoke on how excited his team was at Betsafe being the first operator to launch NetEnt’s offering in the region with high expectations for player uptake and engagement.
