Entain launches new US responsible gambling app

The Entain Foundation, a not-for-profit organization funded by BetMGM and Entain, recently announced the launch of its newly developed responsible gambling US-facing mobile app.

The foundation collaborated with Epic Risk Management and RG24/7, ‘Gamble Responsibly America’ to create an app that is free to use for all citizens of the United States.

Inner workings

The app offers a selection of educational resources and tools geared at supporting users who have identified that they may have issues with problem gambling.

Also on offer is information on how to self exclude, create deposit limits and time-outs for online play. The user will additionally be able to access a self-assessment to evaluate whether their playing habits are healthy along with a gambling diary to allow individuals to track their gaming and betting behaviour.

The app further includes useful information that helps in identifying harmful online gambling-related behaviour. Users will have access to a 24/7 live chat function with helpline specialists on hand to assist. There will also be additional information available on where users can find more resources around problem gambling issues.

Pioneering change

Martin Lycka, Entain’s Senior Vice President for American Regulatory Affairs and Responsible Gambling said,

The new app follows a succession of partnerships and programs in the US, including a player education initiative around sports betting involving professional sports leagues and colleges across the country, managed by Epic Risk Management.
