Massive Scoop For Microgaming With Big Time Gaming’s Megaways Mechanic Acquisition
Microgaming’s online casino offering is gaining a vital enhancement with a recent deal signed with games studio, Big Time Gaming (BTG).
The deal will allow Microgaming to employ its partner’s trademarked Megaways mechanic in a series of upcoming slots.
BTG’s Megaways solution was introduced in 2016, changing the face of the industry by bringing exciting innovation to the online slot market. Megaways was designed to enhance player engagement across various slots.
The mechanic includes a random reel modifier that could trigger on any spin, activating a constantly changing number of symbols across the grid. Your gameplay experience will be a unique one every time you play thanks to hundreds of thousands of possible win-ways.
Microgaming will also be working with its network of independent game development studios to ensure Megaways is integrated into appropriate new titles that are due to join its platform.
The first game set to employ the mechanic is Shamrock Holmes, an online slot that will make its first appearance in January 2021.
An exciting partnership
Microgaming CEO John Coleman commented on the Megaways deal, saying that Megaways has enjoyed massive success since its release and that the company is thrilled to be integrating the game mechanic into selected future releases.
Mr. Coleman further stated that BTG is a proven innovator in the online gambling sector and that the company values the opportunity to extend its existing relationship with the provider and cultivate its presence on Microgaming’s casino content aggregation platform. BTG already provides new game releases to Microgaming’s thriving network of operator partners, under the terms of the initial original partnership between the two major iGaming companies.
Big Time Gaming CEO Nik Robinson also commented, saying that the company is dedicated to bringing the “Megaways revolution” to a wider market and that “they don’t come much bigger than Microgaming.”
Mr. Robinson added their partner is an industry frontrunner and a powerhouse in the online gaming space. He went on to say that his company is pleased with the opportunity to contribute "in a small way to the Microgaming story."
Microgaming’s dance card is pretty full as the provider is getting ready to launch a solution for the German market that conforms with recently introduced regulations for the provision of iGaming services. The solution will allow Microgaming’s German online gambling operators to prepare to operate under the new rules.
