Microgaming Mobilises PlayItForward To Assist Gordon Moody Association Programs
Industry-leading online content developer, Microgaming recently pledged its support to the Gordon Moody Association that works to assist players affected by problem gambling. The association provides therapy and other resources for afflicted individuals and their families.
The Gordon Moody Association has been offering education and therapeutic help to players and their families for almost 50 years. Its programmes include counselling and retirement programs with established residential treatment centres and relapse prevention homes. The organization also provides players with online help programs through its Gambling Therapy application.
Microgaming's PlayItForward is a CSR initiative that supports charities across the globe, including YGAM and Motiv8. Launched in 2014, PlayItForward primarily focuses on the prevention, treatment, and reduction of gambling problems. The program has since delivered practical financial assistance to thousands of people in various countries.
Rob Mabbett, Head of Growth for the Gordon Moody Association said, "Collaborating with companies like Microgaming and the industry, in general, is an integral part of what we do. On behalf of the Gordon Moody Association team, we would like to thank Microgaming for their generous support and for all the good work they are doing in the CSR and responsible gaming space."
He added, "The Microgaming PlayItForward donation will go towards a comfort fund. It will also help to help families physically, emotionally, and mentally find peace of mind while their loved ones access therapy for gambling problems."
Kimberley Broad, the Director of Compliance for Microgaming, also commented, saying, "At Microgaming, we strive to promote and support a safe and responsible environment for our customers and wider communities, which is why getting involved and collaborating with charities like the Gordon Moody Association is incredibly important to us.
