The second edition of the Entain Foundation US’ Gamble Responsibly America app has been released. The update includes new information and advice regarding gambling risks and enhanced tools to help players moderate their behaviour.
The Entain Foundation US is a non-profit organisation that promotes and supports responsible gambling with funding from the sports betting and gaming group. The organisation stated that its app has been “comprehensively updated” with refreshed features offered in English, Spanish, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
The expansions to the Gamble Responsibly America app cover the areas of improved educational information around problem gambling and a larger toolkit of support resources.
The updates to the educational categories include discussions concerning disordered gambling, identifying behavioural markers, creating limits, an FAQ section, and responsible gambling videos.
Additional services include self-assessment tools that include a daily gambling diary, and a live chat feature.
The app can also connect users to a wide variety of support services and organisations, such as Kindbridge, a company that provides over-the-phone therapy in support of gamblers experiencing mental health struggles. Also accessible is My Wager Score, a support platform that uses real-time affordability data to assist sports bettors who are concerned about their financial health and looking to reduce their risk of harmful play.
“The first version of Gamble Responsibly America was well-received and widely welcomed,” said Martin Lycka, Entain’s Senior Vice President for American Regulatory Affairs and Responsible Gambling, and a Trustee of the Entain Foundation US.
“We’ve since been working hard on enhancements to provide an even more comprehensive tool for maintaining responsible gambling, as well as for preventing and mitigating problems, should they occur,” he continued.
“This second edition of Gamble Responsibly America underscores the helpful resources of the first edition, with more tools, more educational information, additional languages and more resources that are available anytime and anywhere. Our goal with the app is simple – to educate users on safe gambling habits, and provide the necessary tools and resources to allow users to access help and support instantly,” he concluded.
The app is available in the App Store and the Google Play Store. Entain and BetMGM, who partnered up to deliver the app, will draw no commercial benefit from this initiative.
