Leading iGaming provider Playtech recently announced the signing of an eSports business agreement with Golden Matrix, a social gaming platform supplier. The agreement will allow both brands to extend their reach into the eSports and betting markets.

The deal will enable Playtech to acquire rights to distribute Golden Matrix's freshly developed suite of peer-to-peer eSports betting games.

Mutual benefit

Golden Matrix will benefit from Playtech's global network thanks to its AI-powered player acquisition and retention system. The provider will obtain non-exclusive rights to distribute Playtech's most popular games through its network of operators, which will include live dealer games, slots, table games, bingo, and poker.

The CEO of Golden Matrix, Brian Goodman said "This collaboration agreement with the industry's most prestigious technology provider and distributor represents a significant milestone in our company's expansion and growing success. With Playtech as our Peer2P distribution partner, GMGI's exciting content will now be introduced to new gaming audiences, thus extending the company's reach into new territories, including the fast-growing US market where we expect to establish a significant presence."

Milestones

Mor Weizer, the CEO at Playtech,  explained that his company's success is motivated by key strategic partnerships with industry-leading specialists that complement its technology, boosting the scope of its offering and enhancing distribution capabilities.

He also took the opportunity to announce the company's new partnership with veteran technology provider GMGI, an association that will eventually see Playtech launch eSports, P2P, and other cutting-edge software while expanding its distribution of premium content.

Playtech took a revenue knock in 2020 due to the global pandemic as several of its business operations were unavoidably interrupted, but the company is undaunted and continues to grow, recently launching its bingo services through win2day which will allow it access to the Austrian market.

Win2day will also feature Playtech's bingo side game titles, including Dynamite Digger, Fruity Burst, and George and the Dragon as standalone titles.

Golden Matrix is aggressively pushing for growth, despite lockdowns and economic turmoil brought about by the pandemic, having recently licensed its GM-X platform to 24 new clients.
