Playtech recently announced that it had finalised a new content partnership with 888 Casino. Under the deal, Playtech will provide the operator with a custom live casino offering.
The terms of the agreement state that 888 Casino’s platform will feature a selection of the supplier’s live casino and random number generator titles.
Playtech will also host a unique 888 branded studio at its live casino production complex, situated in Riga, Latvia.
Edo Haitin, The Chief Executive of live casino at Playtech said, “888’s significant investment in, and commitment to, the live casino vertical demonstrates just how important an entertainment-led experience is becoming for the modern player.”
Haitin could barely contain his excitement at the chance to work with a major player like 888 “to deliver an exciting, innovative Live and RNG offering for their players”.
He further stated that the new partnership comes at an opportune time for both parties as the developer has upped its production output considerably and is releasing more titles at a faster rate than ever before.
Live Casino growth prospects
Playtech’s most recent financial report laid bare the company’s expectations for the future growth of the casino vertical. In the H1 2020 results report, the company describes a “significant momentum in live casino with new signings and existing licensees”
Playtech has recently taken on several new partners including Totalizator Sportowy, BetConstruct, and Svenska Spel.
888’s Senior Vice President and Head of B2C, Guy Cohen said, “At 888, we are constantly looking for partnerships that strengthen our product offering and I believe Playtech’s live casino and RNG content will do exactly that. The new games will expand upon our existing suite of games to provide new, exciting, and engaging gaming experiences within a safe and secure environment.”
In December 2020, Playtech announced its newly signed partnership with Casumo. This deal feeds into the company’s strategy to widen the gaming audience that its products are exposed to.
Using the flagship Casumo operation as a launch-pad, Playtech plans to soon launch its Casino and Live Casino offerings. The developer intends to then progressively introduce its content across Casumo’s broader brand group. This includes Dunder, Kazoom Casino, and CasinoSecret, all of which are expected to be integrated in early 2021.
