IGT To Introduce Wheel Of Fortune Linked Progressive Jackpot
IGT will use the SBC Summit North America 2021 to launch an industry-first innovation.
The exciting new omnichannel solution will see IGT's Wheel of Fortune jackpot linked to several land-based casinos where players will contribute to and share in a jackpot pool. The innovation has already been launched in Canada to great success.
To get a pre-launch peek at the new feature, visitors need to visit the company’s booth at the summit which will run from November 30 to December 2 at the Meadowlands Exposition Centre in Secaucus, New Jersey.
IGT Digital & Betting CEO Enrico Drago spoke out about the new development, saying that the company is “once again breaking barriers in the digital gaming space.”
“We are combining proven technology with the most successful slot brand of all time to create a powerful jackpot liquidity pool that engages players and delivers life-changing wins for New Jersey residents playing across channels. SBC Summit attendees will be among the first in the U.S. to see how the technology works,” he continued.
This never-before-seen system will link IGT’s digital Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Gold game with all the land-based $1 Wheel of Fortune wide-area progressives to generate a shared progressive jackpot prize pool across brick-and-mortar and online casinos in New Jersey. Players from the state will be able to choose when and where they want to play their preferred $1 Wheel of Fortune games.
The launch of the link was due in large part to the existence of the Powerbucks link that has been enjoying a successful run in Canada since its introduction in 2016.
Also on show from IGT will be a sequel to its Fortune Coin games, Fortune Coin Boost! and some new PlayCasino titles, including Great Bear and MegaJackpots Elephant King.
The company will also flex its land-based prowess with the showcasing of its CrystalFlex and PeakBarTop Flex cabinets and its multigame software such as Game King X content. IGT will also have a PlaySport Kiosk where visitors will learn about its cashless wagering services.
The firm recently announced the public listing of its freshly-created Digital & Betting division displaying its assertive strategic stance and giving some clues as to what to expect from the brand in the future.
