Stockholm-based iGaming developer Play‘n GO has drawn inspiration from a famous Japanese myth for its debut slot of 2022. Tale of Kyubiko is the provider’s new 3x3 reel slot with stacked wilds and respins.
The game is based on the Japanese shape-shifting goddess of cultivation, Inari, who beckons you to her lair where you can claim her treasures. Inari shape-shifts between human and fox forms, using her power to help you claim the slots maximum potential of 2250x your stake.
Play’n GO, which holds licenses in the Netherlands, Malta and the United Kingdom, currently offers a selection of over 220 video slots with hot recent releases including titles like Kiss: Reels of Rock, Beasts of Fire, and Captain Xeno’s Earth Adventure. The developer shared that the Tale of Kyubiko game comes with a 94.29% RTP and features an enchanting visual theme with intricate, eye-catching graphics and animations.
The developer stated that the slot’s main character and the background images will change as you rack up wins. The mythical character appears as a stacked wild that can trigger respins when it lands fully in view, Inari dances between the reels when a respin is activated, changing from her fox to human form and setting off a progressive multiplier.
Charlotte Miliziano, the Head of Games for Play‘n GO spoke out about the new release in an official release, revealing that the Inari’s Dance bonus feature will be “repeated until no more wins are formed after the respin’ with the next round starting ‘when the player hits re-spin and the multiplier resets”.
“Tale of Kyubiko is a fabulous example of high entertainment value. There is a rich narrative that carries throughout the gameplay and our clear focus on storytelling and creating the visuals to complement can be seen through Inari. Players can physically see her shapeshift into her human form as they play. It’s very cool,” Miliziano concluded.
