Playtech’s new game show experience, named ‘The Money Drop Live’ is based on a popular Banijay-owned TV show brand and forms part of the studio’s flourishing live gameshow catalogue.
The Money Drop Live gameshow is a copy of the UK TV series hosted by Davina McCall, The Million Pound Drop, which was eventually renamed the £100K Drop. The show's format has been successfully adapted in more than 50 countries, making the game an instantly recognizable property in markets across the globe.
This latest launch came about thanks to Playtech’s enduring association with Banijay Brands and is a fitting follow-up to the release of Deal or No Deal, The Big Draw in 2020.
The game offers a range of multipliers worth up to 5000x and features a live dealer who spins a wheel of chance. Multipliers above 8x activate Drop Zones and as per the original show format, you can decide how to split your money for the best possible win.
Opening the Drop Zones means that one of them will always offer safe, guaranteed winnings and the wheel stops on 8x it activates the Quick Drop game. This will trigger a major “all or nothing” gamble feature and you can also land multiplier-boosted wins in the Card Clash bonus game.
