You Might Need To Phone A Friend For Playtech’s "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" Live Game Trio
Playtech has sparked excitement amongst industry stakeholders and live casino fans with the announcement that it will develop three new “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” branded live games.
The developer states announced that the games will be developed with Sony Pictures Television that holds the exclusive license for this popular TV show.
Five years, three games
Edo Haitin, CEO at Playtech Live said, “Our vision at Playtech Live is to deliver the best possible entertainment experience. This new development will add to Playtech's already extensive offering of premium content that includes online slots and live game shows. As per Haitin, the new titles will allow players to “experience first-hand the thrill and excitement of playing one of the most enduring game show formats in television history, that is what an entertainment-led experience is all about.”
The three unique games will be developed over the next five years by the two companies. This announcement came less than two months after Playtech allied with IGT to expand its presence n the US market.
Shimon Akad, COO at Playtech mused about the prospect of working with a global monolith like Sony, saying that his company takes pride in being selected to develop the titles and bring the magic of the hit TV show to the live casino market.
“Securing prestigious brands like this is a key pillar of our content strategy as we look to deliver the most engaging responsible gambling entertainment experience in the market,” he said.
